Costumes

So both Jett and Lila love to get in full character mode.  It's non stop.  If they are watching a show, they first have to designate which character they will be.  

On this particular day, they were (obvi) watching Pirates of the Caribbean.  Jett had to be Jack Sparrow, naturally, and he assigned Lila to be Davy Jones.  The only problem was, we didn't have costumes for this.

Well, I really hate to toot my own horn but no costumes? No problem.  Nothing some yarn, an old red onesie of Ruby's and some black eyeliner can't fix!  The jacket from his halloween costume 3 years ago surprisingly still (sort of) fit!  

The next day we switched gears onto Alvin and the Chipmunks.  This was a little more difficult, or so I thought.  How the heck was I going to make a chipmunk?  Jett had the bright idea of using a red sweatshirt from Ethan, that was luckily still a little bit big.  He thought a yellow marker would do the trick but then we decided masking tape made a much more bold statement.

 Not to be left out- we had to pop some lenses out of some sunglasses and voila- you have Bridget the chipmunk!
