One Year!!

Our baby girl turned one!! I think she rather enjoyed all the attention she got for her big day.

We started the morning off with a prezzie or two.  Jett was dying to give her the gift he picked out.

 

Can see how pleased she is to be showered with gifts?

Lila isn’t so sure she likes to share the spotlight.

 

It was a team effort to unwrap it all and Ruby was cool with that.  After all, princesses rarely do any hard labor.  They have people to do this for them.

 

Jett’s gift was a HIT!  She loved the doll he picked out :)  Jett knows his little sissy well.

Next was the birthday tradition of pancakes and candles.

 

Good practice too for the real thing later!

Jett and Lila each got a chair for their first birthday and Ruby was not left out.  Grandma Bunch got her this pink princess chair so she can chill with her brother and sister.  She LOVED LOVED the chair.  She has been trying to swipe Jett and Lila’s chair for the past month or so but they have none of that.  They are all REALLY territorial about these chairs.

We headed up to Papa and Momo’s to continue celebrating with the rest of the gang.

 

Sean channeled his inner chick and decorated Ruby’s cake.  As you all might remember he has a little bakers talent and did not disappoint this year.  He calls this cake ‘The Land of Hanalei.’

I’m fairly certain that land belongs to Puff the Magic Dragon and not these My Little Ponies, but you know what?  I still think it works for this master piece, don’t you?

 

Even though Ruby is technically not a baby anymore, she still likes to be treated like one when it comes to a good snuggle.  She found her BFF Ree Ree for a quick cuddle before it was time for cake.

Momo got herself some Ruby love too.
