Stories for Baby

I've said this before but Jett really is a great big brother. Today he decided that he wanted to "show baby" this book. He was so cute telling her what everything in the book was.

Apparently he is under the impression that Lila is veeeery nearsighted. :)

More "Jett try!"

We had to give the poor girl some food. She was so hungry she was eating her feet.

But, in true fashion, her big brother saw this and like everything else just HAD to try!

Speaking of Jett needing to try everything...when I say EVERYTHING I really mean everything! :) I'm not too sure what to think of his style sense when he pairs up dinosaur legs, a bass pro shop hat and a tutu.

Father's Day Photo Shoot

My friend Angela had the bright idea to take some pics of the kids for the dad's for father's day. The location was perfect, the weather was not bad, BUT it was waaaay too early for Jett. You'd think 9:30 would be a great time for a toddler, right? Not my child. The little night owl was not having it. He was a crabby pants for the whole time. The stinker usually sleeps in until about 1030ish. I know, I know. RIDICULOUS.

Papa really has his hands full trying to shoot four toddlers. Braden was by far the most cooperative. Jett was by far the least cooperative. I think he's kicking Drew in this pic? Nice Jett....real nice.

Snakes and Snails and Puppydog Tails

You know that old saying...or poem or whatever that is that says what boys and girls are made of? Yeah, well...it's true. Jett found Sean's fishing gear this weekend and has not stopped asking for his worms. LOVES the worms.
And while were here we might as well acknowledge the elephant in the room. Jett's haircut. Sean finally got his way and shaved Jett's head. I feel tricked because he said he was just going to "take a little off the top." Uh.....ok.

Aaaaand then we have this. Yep, sugar and spice and everything nice ;)

Mmmm. Food.

So...at Lila's four month appt Dr. Du said we could start Lila on solids anytime between now and six months. Because Lila is clearly not lacking any nutrition ;) and she has been sleeping all night for a while now I'm not really wanting to mess up a good thing! I think we started Jett around 5 months or so and will likely do the same with Lila. Buuuuut...um, I think she heard this talk of food and is really interested in what is soon to come.

Dr. Du

Before I had Jett I got lots of parenting advice. LOTS. But hands down the best advice thus far has been to use Dr. Du for a pediatrician. She is the best doctor ever! Seriously...I think she might be the smartest woman alive. With an amazing memory to boot.

And the other awesome thing about Dr. Du's is Peggy. She is the nurse/nana/gossip queen/blanket maker/shot giver...- wait that last part sucks but everything else is super awesome about Peggy!

Park Punks

Jett and Colt met up at the park today for some guy time. Guys don't hug, they high five.

Does he look so happy or what? It's amazing how the park can make you feel this way!

Gee thanks Jett...ruining yet ANOTHER family photo op. Just when Kelsey and Colt were smiling so nice Jett comes over and dog piles them both. It's a good thing Kelsey and Colt are so easy going! Otherwise Jett might not be invited to the park again.

The best kind of play date

Papa and Momo came over for a playdate yesterday...and of course they came bearing gifts. I have the most spoiled children on Earth. I wonder how come Momo and Papa don't bring me a fun little thoughtful gift each time I see them? Like maybe a new Marc Jacobs bag? Hhhhmmmmmm? I feel slighted.

Jett played with this thing for hours. It sling (slung? slinged?) a car around and across the floor...he thought it was the coolest.
